French Manicure Tape

French manicure is one of those trends that never get old-fashioned. There are so many possibilities to make French manicure that one can never say that he or she has seen it all. Even those very simple ones are very good looking and they make a good impression on whoever sees them. You can get a French manicure at any nail salon but you can make it own your own as well.



To get those perfect, so-called smile lines it is goop to use French manicure tape. Some women draw them by hand, but if you are not so talented or you have shaky hands, then you could use some guidance. These French manicure tapes can be bought with the manicure kit or later separately. Those who don’t want to spend on such things can also use simple tape and cut in to follow the shape of the fingernails.



In the following section I will tell you how to get yourself the perfect French manicure. The first thing you have to do is apply hand cream and massage it until it is absorbed or to soak your hands in warm water to soften the cuticles. Then, if necessary, clip your nails, file them and push the cuticles. You should decide what colors you would like to use. The possibilities are unlimited. You can make a traditional French manicure using white polish for the tips and pink, nude or beige for the rest. You could also use clear polis for a more natural look. If you like those not-so-traditional manicures, you could use any other color you would like.

Whatever color you choose, first apply a base coat that will protect your nails from the damages nail polish could cause. If you decided to make a traditional manicure then after the basecoat has dried you should stick the tape strips on the nails below the free edge of the nail. Be careful to stick the tapes right so the polish won’t get under it. You should wait a bit before you remove the tapes.

It’s not good to remove them to fast, but it isn’t good to wait too much either. After the white polish has dried you can apply the other color on the whole nail. Don’t forget to apply a top coat as well to protect your manicure.



In case you have decided to use other colors the process changes a bit. After applying the base coat (and after it has dried of course) you have to polish the whole nail with the color you decided to use as a base. After this has dried stick the tapes, again being careful to stick them well, and apply polish on the tips of the nails. Remove the tapes and wait for the polish to dry. Then you can apply the top coat and you are good to go. When choosing the colors you can let your creativity free, because whatever color you choose, having a French manicure is a sure way to success.
