Whichever color you choose, be sure to apply a base coat to protect your nails from damages. In case of a traditional manicure then after the basecoat has dried, stick the tape strips on the nails below the free edge of the nail. Be careful how you stick the tapes to prevent the polish flowing under it. The tapes are used to help you get a perfect smile-line. You could also draw them by hand, but if you don’t think that is safe enough and you don’t want to spend on tapes you could also use regular tape and cut it to follow the shape of your nails.

You should wait a bit before you remove the tapes. It’s not good to remove them to fast, but it isn’t good to wait too much either. After the white polish has dried you can apply the other color on the whole nail. Don’t forget to apply a top coat as well to protect your manicure.

If you choose other then you have to change things a little. After you apply the base coat the next step is to polish the whole nail with the color that you have chosen as a base. Once the polish has dried stick the tapes, again being careful to stick them well, and color the tips of the nails. After waiting a bit remove the tapes and wait for the polish to dry. Then you should apply the top coat and you are already done.
