My French Manicure

Although French manicure has been invented centuries ago we can say that it still is one of the most trendy and fashionable manicure styles in our days. Since it has been created it hasn’t changes much because I think it is too simple to be changed much. Nevertheless there are some newly appeared variations.

For example there is the French manicure that doesn’t feature the traditional color (white and pink, nude or clear) but uses other colors. There is no limitation for these colors, they might be any color you would like. The only thing that remains is that the tips must have another color that the rest of the nail.

Another new variation of the French manicure is the reverse French manicure. I think that at first it sound quite unimaginable, but in fact it is very simple. The main idea of it is that it still uses two colors (usually one of them is clear but again you could use any color you would like) and the ‘tip’ in this case is painted to the upper part of the nail, creating some kind of moon or artificial moon. We can see that this style is gaining more and more popularity.

Still we don’t have to forget about the traditional style. Some say that it is too simple and that it doesn’t have anything gripping in it. Well, I find it very elegant maybe especially because it is so simple. It looks very clean and it shows that the person in question is taking care of her (or his) image.

If somebody wants to spice up the French manicure there are a lot of options to choose from. You can paint the tips in several ways, like instead of painting it horizontally, you could paint it diagonally. This might be a good way to make the manicure more interesting. You could also use some ‘tools’ to enhance the manicure, such as nail art, stickers, rhinestones, two dimensional nail art or even three dimensional nail art. If these are used properly and with taste, they might make your manicure look very exquisite.

From my point of view manicure isn’t a too important thing but that doesn’t mean that we don’t have to take care of it. I am just saying that I won’t visit a nail salon twice a week to get my nails done. I prefer to do them for myself. The simplest is to do a quick French manicure. Most of the times my French manicure is simple without any nails art or stickers. Although they might look good, I don’t like to see them on my hands. In order to make my French manicure more interesting, after painting the tips I draw a line on the border on the tips using silver polish and then I apply a layer of clear polish. This spices up a bit the manicure without making it look cheap. The silver I use isn’t too much but still it makes a good impression on the others and most importantly, I like it.
