Pedicures and manicures have a very important role in our lives in these days. Most people are willing to sacrifice a couple of hours of their time to care for their nails. There are some women (but not only women) who attend nail salons to get their nails done, saying that this is a lot easier than to try to get them done at home. It is faster and the results are a lot nicer.
Even though all this might be true, not everybody has the money to spend each week just to get their nails in shape so they prefer to do it for themselves and I have to say that if they practice enough, the results might almost as good as the one manicurists achieve.
Most of the times we don’t settle to have just a simple manicure, we would like something to spice it up, to make it more interesting and I think that adding some designs might do the trick. You can get pedicure and manicure designs in several different ways. One of them might be to go to a salon and ask for one. In this case you can tell the manicurist what you would like or she can recommend some.
If you choose to get your nails done at home there is one very simple way to get nail designs: buy some stickers. They come in various shapes and forms and you can choose the one you like the best. Some of them are quite simple, having only a flower or a little heart while others might have rhinestones and different colors as well.
If you think that you could do more, than you should try to draw the design by hand. You can use your own ideas. They don’t have to be something very elaborate or complex. Sometimes even one line might be enough to make your nails look unique. If you don’t have any ideas what you could draw, it might be a good idea to search the internet for some pedicure and manicure designs.
There are thousands of different designs to choose from and in some cases there is some description on how they were created. Also there are some tutorials on video tubes that you could watch and this way you can see the process of creating the design and this eliminates the possibility to get stuck at a certain step.
Most of the designs feature flowers and hearts because these are the easiest to create. All you need is some polish and a thin brush. If you have all these than the results are only up to you. Naturally those who have natural talent will be more successful, but there is nothing that can’t be learnt. After learning the basics you can go on to try some more difficult designs as well. At one moment I saw a design that had a martini glass and some split martini. This was one design that really got my attention and I can recommend you to try it once.
